Massage as a profession

This has always been a sore point with me, as my colleagues will know; we are seen as three or four rungs below physical therapists, on a scale measuring professional worth. Yet, physical therapists, or as they are titled in Australia, physiotherapists, are not too involved with - perhaps not interested in - manual therapy. There is, as I see, a gap in the health care method - who wants to provide manual therapy ?

You and I can do this - we are already doing this - and we understand:
our ability, and,
our limitations.
Last month , I was appointed as one of the editors of a magazine issued by the American Medical Massage Association; I'm not blowing big trumpets here, possums - it's just that manual therapists in the USA are facing the same issues as we are here - hot rocks against logic.
Keep in touch, because I will not let you down......
